Helping people find the right earplugs for their lives

Loop Earplugs helps people take control of the sound around them, with earplugs designed for live music, sleep, focus, and everyday life. Its products combine sound management, comfort, and style to fit naturally into people’s daily routines.

For its marketing team, reaching new audiences meant helping people understand which product was right for them. When Loop launched its first ChatGPT Ads campaign in the US in June 2026, the team began exploring how specific products and messages could connect with those different needs. It tracked purchases and return on ad spend to see which campaigns were generating sales and where to invest next.

Making product feeds the starting point

Loop begins each new market launch with a product-feed campaign. As that campaign gains traction, the team builds on it with additional campaigns tailored to specific customer needs.

A product feed is a catalog of a business’s products, including names, descriptions, prices, images, and availability. ChatGPT Ads uses that information to create ads featuring specific items from the advertiser’s range.

Loop prepares a feed for each market with the appropriate language, currency, and pricing. Its feed ads show shoppers a specific product and its price before they visit Loop’s website, giving them information to consider before clicking.

The purchases that followed gave Loop an encouraging early read on the approach. Across its five live product-feed campaigns, the brand recorded a 5.1x return on ad spend and a 3.7% post-click conversion rate during the test window.¹

Connecting creative to specific situations

Once a feed campaign is established, Loop introduces non-feed campaigns built around the situations its products serve. Its testing showed stronger returns from campaigns focused on a concrete use case than from those built around broad intent.

That learning now shapes the team’s new non-feed creative. A campaign centered on “festival earplugs” addresses a more specific need than one built around “earplugs,” giving Loop a clearer way to explain how its product fits the experience someone has in mind.

“Our reading is that it matches how people actually use ChatGPT. Someone describes a situation, not a product category, so a campaign built around a situation has something to connect to.”

— Gijs Koch, Manager Search Marketing at Loop Earplugs

Loop’s non-feed concerts and music campaign in the EU recorded a 1.8× ROAS during the test window.¹ For Loop, the two campaign types play complementary roles: product feeds introduce individual items, while use-case campaigns explain how those products fit into people’s lives.

Using purchase data to guide investment

Loop uses purchase performance to guide its investment in ChatGPT Ads. The team starts campaigns with Maximize results, an automated bidding strategy. As conversion data comes in, it uses those insights to refine bidding and evaluate performance against its cost-per-order goals.

The early results gave Loop a basis for investing more in its EU product-feed campaign. Following the test window, the team increased daily spend to roughly two and a half times its previous level.

Loop has since launched separate campaigns in Sweden, Norway, and Switzerland. Its existing EU campaigns provide a reference for developing those launches, with purchase data helping the team decide when to invest further.
